November 1st!
On this day, the clouds moving so visibly, the blue of the sky so vibrant, and the cool air nipping so viscerally at my skin, the instinct to nestle, to be protected and warm (I'm thinking hibernating bears) makes so much sense!
Night is coming so quickly this time of year, and there's seems more time for quiet and inward introspection, which is why I'm finding it so important to cultivate practice and movement as the Nature energy around us is being stored.
My morning practice instantly improves the outlook on my day and the awareness drawn to my growing inner world brightens and deepens my outward view.
This week, an altered schedule for practice:
NO CLASS @ MAHA of PUTNEY this Wednesday, Nov 3rd.
Otherwise, we are on for Thursday @ Bhava and Friday in Guilford.
Yes, I love this time of year Nabi; time to slow down, turn inward and feed the fire. My sadhana these days has focused more on my interactions with my 3-year old, but when I do find a chance to do more of an asana practice, I find that during this season and throughout the winter,I move my practice to the evening. I tend to move slowly, feeling nourished by the warmth of the fire from our wood-burning stove. A bear, her mat, her cave...her hibernation.
